RRB Loco Pilot 2026 exam is coming. Candidates have to know the RRB ALP Syllabus and the exam pattern. The selection process has three parts. The parts are CBT 1 CBT 2 and the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). I think candidates who study the syllabus and the exam pattern prepare better. When candidates know the subjects the question format and the marking scheme of time candidates can prepare better. Candidates have a higher chance of success.

RRB ALP Syllabus 2026

I have looked at the RRB ALP Syllabus 2026. See that the RRB ALP Syllabus 2026 lists the subjects General Intelligence & Reasoning Mathematics, Basic Science & Engineering General Science up, to Class 10 level and General Awareness. The selection process follows steps. The selection process includes CBT 1 CBT 2 the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Document Verification. Candidates take CBT 1 as a qualifying exam. Candidates earn one mark for each answer. Lose one third of a mark for each wrong answer. From my experience the CBT 1 scoring is clear.

RRB ALP 2025 CBAT [Psycho Test]

I have seen that the RRB ALP CBAT Exam is a computer aptitude test that checks candidates’ abilities, mind skills, decision making skills and the RRB ALP CBAT Exam finds the strengths of candidates, for ALP posts. The CBAT (Psycho Test) exam is a qualifying exam. There is no marking, for an answer. Candidates must score 42 marks in each test to qualify. The CBAT (Psycho Test) exam contains five tests. Each test has its time limit.

  1. Here they check how well you recall certain facts, making sure your memory is on point.
  2. During this assessment, people look at a map plus additional layouts meant to help them recall edifices. After observing various designs, they mark where those buildings appear on their answer sheet.
  3. Figures appear on one side, five options on the other. Matching speed becomes key here. A single number shows up over here, while over there you see five more. The task? Spot the exact match across both sets. Speed counts because only the right answer counts.
  4. Here is what you see when opening the test. It splits into two sections, one labeled Study and the other Test. The study part reveals a map of railways along with station names. Instead of just reading it, you are meant to learn where each station sits. That means storing those positions in your memory. The layout gives clues, yet exact placement needs recall. Each stop must connect clearly in your mind. The screen stays simple, showing routes across tracks. Your goal? Match names to correct spots without confusion. One moment it is familiar ground, next you decide placement from scratch. candidates must remember where every station is before making notes on the page.
  5. This assessment checks how well someone understands and carries out directions. Understanding tasks plus doing them right matters here.
  6. This time around, take a moment to study the letter layout presented. As you move through it, think ahead about where direction shifts might appear. Questions coming up will point to specific changes within the layout, asking how guidance alters at those points.
  7. A few English letters appear in a circle, placed next to numbers inside square boxes. Squares hold letter combinations, arranged randomly across the page
  8. A dot here means the path goes that way. Questions covering every part of the layout will come up next.
  9. Judging how far away things are – this comes from a built-in way to sense depth.
  10. A stack of bricks appears before the candidate, certain ones marked with letters – A, B, C, and so on. To answer, they need to count how many bricks are actually in contact with those labeled bricks at the edge.
  11. Beneath the stack, you spot part of a block trail. Count how many blocks make that heap, even if some edges vanish behind others.
  12. Here’s a take on the Test of Power in Observation: it assesses how fast someone spots differences in data when speed matters. Comparisons happen fast, pressure included.
  13. Today’s work focuses on checking if two values match fast. To judge them, ask one question only. Same or different? Pick Y when they fit. Every other case chooses N. The button moves with a click.
  14. Here’s where it gets interesting. Across the bottom, letters label four piles of numbers. One stack holds digits with a six. If one number shows up twice – with a six – then your choice must be ‘E’. That covers every possibility.
  15. This assessment measures how fast someone can spot matching patterns between shapes. Speed here refers to quick accuracy under pressure. Though called “speed,” it tests rapid perception rather than physical haste. Matching shapes across fields takes split-second decisions. The goal? Identify correct pairings without delay or error. Performance reflects immediate visual processing. Not about rushing, but recognizing links fast.
  16. Figure matching speed test comes first here.
  17. Figure appears at left. Five additional shapes sit on the right. Your task? Spot which one fits. Speed counts here. That is why it is called a quick-match test. Figure one sits over here. Compare it carefully with the example on the left side. Decide whether they match exactly. That is how to proceed.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Syllabus 2025

RRB sets up two computer-based tests – CBT 1 and CBT 2 – for ALP positions. Anyone eyeing the RRB ALP test should dig into what topics show up on each day, plus older paper patterns.
